Tesla CEO Elon Musk has warned Twitter users that they are being manipulated by an “algorithm” in a way that they don’t understand. “You are being manipulated by an algorithm in a way that you do not understand,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
Musk’s tweet came a few days after he temporarily postponed a $ 44 billion Twitter deal due to expected details that confirm the calculation that spam and fake accounts make up less than 5 percent of users.
Musk said it was important for users to “fix” their Twitter feeds. Musk suggested the following three steps through which this can be done:
1. Click ‘home’
2. Click the asterisks at the top right of the screen
3. Select “Recent Tweets
“It’s easy to switch back and forth to see the difference,” Musk wrote.
“(This post brought you Illuminaughty),” Musk wrote in another tweet.
The former Twitter CEO responded to Mask’s tweet. “It was designed simply to save you time when you’re temporarily away from the app,” Jack Dorsey wrote. “Pull to refresh also returns to reverse chronology,” he added.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk said on Saturday that the Twitter Inc legal team accused him of violating the non-disclosure agreement, indicating that the sample size for checking automated users of the social networking platform is 100.
“Twitter’s legal service just called to complain that I violated their NDA by showing that the sample size of the bot check is 100!” wrote Musk on Twitter on Saturday.
Musk, the richest man in the world, recently tweeted in a few tweets that one of his priorities would be to remove “spam bots” from the platform.
