Cormac Roth died aged 25 after being diagnosed with cancer.
Actor Tim Roth’s son has died after a battle with stage three germ cell cancer, his family announced in a statement Monday afternoon.
Cormac’s family said he was ‘indispensable’ and remembered him as an ‘electric ball of energy’ who was as good as he was wild.’
His family said: “He was a wild and electric ball of energy and his spirit was filled with light and kindness.” As wild as he was, Cormac was also the epitome of kindness.
“A gentle soul who brought so much happiness and hope to those around her. Grief comes in waves, as do tears and laughter as we think of this beautiful boy after the 25 years and 10 months we knew him.
“An irrepressible and joyful, wild and wonderful child. Only recently a person. We love him. We will take it with us wherever we go.”
In November 2021, the musician first published his diagnosis on Instagram, when he announced that he had lost hearing in one ear and had suddenly lost weight.
At the time, he wrote: “It has taken half of my hearing, 60 pounds of my weight, my confidence, and will continue on its murderous path until I can somehow stop it and kill it.”
“But it didn’t take away my will to survive or my love for music. It hasn’t taken me off yet. If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer, please do not hesitate to reach out as it is an emotional roller coaster unlike any other.
“Love to you all, please do what you love. Life is short. It’s chaos. And you never know when it will be you. Be healthy and go to the doctor. To hell with cancer.”
Cormac was a graduate of Bennington College and a talented guitarist, composer and producer.
