From now on, users can go through the steps of transferring their data and settings to their new Android phone. Currently, users scan a QR code with their new Android phone to start the transfer process or download an app like Samsung Smart Switch. This should simplify the process a bit.
The APK also offers evidence that Google could launch the feature in time for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which is set to be announced in a week at the Samsung Unpacked event.

Fast Pair is an essential tool for Android users when it comes to syncing devices like Pixel phones with Pixel Watch or Pixel Buds. The technology will soon be extended to accessories such as tracking tags, stylus pens and built-in support for Matter smart home devices. However, there are many opportunities to enable the smartphone experience.
Google describes this feature as follows: “Google Fast Pair Service (GFPS) uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect nearby Bluetooth devices without draining a significant amount of the phone’s battery, enabling “magical” scenarios based on device proximity.”
