Here’s our first look at Evil Dead Rise


STUDIOCANAL and New Line Cinema present the new installment of the cult horror franchise with a first-look Evil Dead Risefrom the writer/director Lee Cronin (A hole in the ground).

EVIL DEAD RISE stars Lily Sullivan (I met a girl, Barkskins) Alice Sutherland (Fog, Vikings), Morgan Davis (Strom Boy, The End), Gabriel Echols (Reminiscence) and introduction Nell Fisher (Northern spur).

Taking the action out of the forest and into the city, EVIL DEAD RISE tells the twisted story of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is interrupted by the emergence of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmare version of a family imaginable.

EVIL DEAD RISE is being produced Rob Tapert ( Ash vs. The Evil Dead , Don’t Breathe ) and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and the cult legend, and “Ash” himself, Bruce Campbelltogether with John Cavill, McDara Kelleher, Richard Brenner, Dave Neustadter, Rommel Adam and Victoria Palmieri.

Cronin is joined behind the camera by cinematographer Dave Garbett (Z for Zacharias, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans), production designer Nick Bassett (Hans, The Gifted, Lasun), editor Brian Shaw (Ash vs. The Evil Dead, Spartacus) and costume designers. Designed by Sarah Voon (Chasing Great, Inside) with a score by Stephen McKeon (The Hole in the Ground, Prvobit).

A New Line Cinema / Renaissance Pictures production from Pacific Renaissance and Wild Atlantic Pictures, EVIL DEAD RISE is due to be released in UK cinemas on 21st April 2023.
