Unidentified gunmen attacked the headquarters of the Labor Party in Enugu

Violence erupted in Enugu State on Wednesday when the headquarters of the Labor Party in Enugu was attacked by unknown gunmen during a meeting.

The headquarters that was attacked is located in Augu Community, Enugu Local Government Area of ​​Enugu State.

Four gunmen were reported to have attacked the gathering in the evening around 5:30pm, the gunmen fired in the air, forcing members of the party to run for their lives.

It was confirmed that no one was killed and injuries were minimal. Ikechukwu Igwebuike, the chairman of the district council of the party, confirmed the attack to journalists.

It emerged that the gunmen arrived at the venue on motorbikes and filmed a video of them destroying a Lexus SUV belonging to one of the fugitives.

In a video that went viral on social media, gunmen shot at the windshield of an SUV.

So far, the Enugu state government has not issued a statement condemning the attack.
