Shazam! Wrath of the Gods may have been delayed, but that doesn’t mean the film will be shooting any more.

Director David F. Sandberg took to Instagram today to answer fan questions and address reports that the film will be remade after the delay.

The director allayed any fears that this was the case, assuring fans that the film was locked in a final cut and was in post-production.

“I have seen such messages Shazam “retooled” but that’s not true. The version has been locked for quite some time and we are now doing the final mix, color and VFX. Everyone is happy with the film and we are not going to work on it anymore just because of the change in the release date.

They guessed Aquaman the previous date was better for us so we moved. I won’t shoot more accurately.”

After hearing this from Sandberg, fans should rest assured that the film’s release will not be delayed again due to production reasons. Initially Shazam! Wrath of the Gods was supposed to land in december but it was last month moved for another three months.

Now the film will be released in March 2023 instead Aquaman 2 which was also delayed until December 2023.

For now, fans will have to wait and see how things play out, barring any last minute changes Shazam! Wrath of the Gods hits theaters on March 17, 2023. You can check out a the trailer for the sequel is here.
