Samsung’s much-anticipated Galaxy S23 series is rumored to launch in February, but the South Korean tech giant has yet to announce a date for its Galaxy Unpacked event. However, a recent misstep by Samsung Columbia may have accidentally revealed the event date as February 1st.
This recent development is in line with earlier speculation and a leak where a whistleblower known as Ice Universe stated that the Galaxy Unpacked event could take place on February 1, 2023. According to Samsung’s official Colombian website via 9to5Google, the event is dated February 1.
Samsung Columbia’s upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 series teaser also offers a glimpse of a new camera design, with images of leaves and lilacs in the corner hinting at recently leaked color names, and if a recently leaked image is to be believed, the S23 series models could have the S22 Ultra-style lens system is retained, with a reminiscent rear design to back it up.
With the likely launch of Samsung’s next batch of phones less than a month away, Galaxy S23 rumors are now in full swing. So we wanted to share what we have, as well as what we want to see from future phones. Here’s what you need to know about the Galaxy S23 before it arrives.
Previous rumors said that Samsung will release the Galaxy S23 series earlier than usual this year. The teaser poster, which appears to be an official image, also reveals a new camera design for the Galaxy S23 series. Aside from the new camera design, the poster also features images of leaves and a lilac in the corner, hinting at upcoming colors for the S23 lineup.
Samsung is expected to launch three flagship smartphones next month, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the leaked poster shows the camera setup for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+.
While the teaser doesn’t reveal much, it does reveal a new camera design and images of leaves and lilacs in the corner that reference the names of the previously released shades. Renders of the Galaxy S23 series have surfaced online in recent weeks, and all three models feature a lens in the design of the S22 Ultra.
Official renders of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra leaked last week, leaving little to the imagination. The leaked renders also revealed what colors we can expect to see the device in Cotton Blossom, Misty Lilac, Botanical Green and Phantom Black.
In terms of specifications, we still don’t know much, but Samsung is rumored to be using the latest 200MP ISOCELL HP3 camera sensor in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The 50MP primary camera on the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus is said to have an improved lens. All three variants are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2SoC and could spell the end of Exynos-based Galaxy S devices in Europe and some Asian countries.
The phone is expected to have a 200-megapixel primary camera. In terms of specifications, both models are rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is built on TSMC’s 4nm process technology. A powerful processor definitely boosts the overall performance of the smartphone CPU and GPU.
Also, regular Galaxy S23 models may not get a significant upgrade in terms of RAM. They are reported to only have 8GB of RAM, just like its predecessors, the Galaxy S22 series. However, the Galaxy S23 ultra might get a 12GB RAM variant along with 1TB storage.
