Crunchyroll recently announced that fans Gundam mobile suit outside of Asia will be able to enjoy the film Gundam Cucuruz Doan’s Island Mobile Suit in theaters for a limited time later this month. The film is directed by an adaptation of the 15th episode of the original anime Yoshikazu Yasuhiko. The dates below are the first times the film has been available outside of Asia, both in English subtitles and dubbed.
After a secret mission goes wrong, Mobile Suit pilot Amuro Rei and his companions find themselves stranded on a remote island. The battalion was sent to a land called the Island of No Return to get rid of enemy forces, only to find a group of children and an enemy mecha attack. Now Amuro must find a way to escape this mysterious land, but not before meeting a strange man – Corn Doan. Duration: 1 hour. 48 minutes
If you live in the UK, you can attend the sessions on 21st and 22nd September when tickets go on sale on 16th September. Fans from the US will have to wait until September 27th and 28th, and tickets are already available for purchase. If you’re in Canada, tickets are on sale now, but you’ll have to wait until September 29th and October 1st.
