Tech giant Apple, which is all set to unveil a new line of iPhones and other products on Wednesday, may launch the iPhone 14 and the all-new iPhone 14 Max with an improved version of the A15 Bionic chipset.

There have been speculations that the standard iPhone 14 models will be equipped with a higher-end A15 chip from the iPhone 13 Pro with a five-core GPU to increase graphics performance by up to 25 percent. In the standard iPhone 13 models, the A15 chip has a quad-core GPU, MacRumors reports according to IANS, citing the WSJ.

However, the report did not provide any additional details about the chip

Improved graphics performance is likely to be the only change to the A15 chip in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, which may launch as the iPhone 14 Plus, as the chip shares the same 6-core processor and 16-core Neural Engine in both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro.

According to information shared by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo back in March, the report claimed that only the iPhone 14 Pro models will be updated with Apple’s latest A16 chip for higher processor performance.

The lineup this year could consist of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple is likely to discontinue the 5.4-inch iPhone mini this year.
