The launch of the Xiaomi 13 Pro has been delayed, which makes the news of an unofficial hands-on video all the more interesting.
We have not had time to inform you about some initial sample cameras from Xiaomi 13 Pro, the company announced that on December 1, its presentation of the Xiaomi 13 series was stopped.
“Dear users”, machine translation Post on Weibo reads: “We apologize to inform you that the launch of the new Xiaomi 13 series products will be delayed. We will let you know as soon as possible once the new release date is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and support.”
There is no news as to why the event was postponed, but there have been speculations that it may have been done out of respect for former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, who died recently.
Rest assured we’ll be keeping an eye out for any news on the move. There is every chance that will happen within the next week or so.
In the meantime, you’ll have to settle for this leaked hands-on video of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, courtesy of Sparrow news.
It shows a phone that looks very similar to Xiaomi 12 Pro (pictured), unsurprisingly, but with a more square and black camera module. It has the same dual-curved screen display, the familiar center punch-hole selfie camera, and runs on the new MIUI 14.
Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary camera with some Leica magic added.
