Channel 10 has teased the cast for the upcoming season of grueling new game show The Challenge.
Some have taken to social media to express their disappointment after the cast were dubbed ‘Australia’s most talked about celebrities’ despite hardly anyone recognizing the stars of the Z-list reality show.
“Australia’s Most Popular Celebrities? Who makes up 95% of these people,” one tweeted.

On Monday, Channel 10 announced the full list of reality stars who will be competing alongside athletes on The Challenge.

From Survivor are Jonny Isto and Brooke Jowett, while Conor Curran presents MasterChef Australia.
Sydney actress Susan Mutesi has also been cast despite having no connection to the reality show.
Sources on set have told Daily Mail Australia that Connor will be ruffling feathers in the series as a “villain”.

Contestants will compete “in a game of secrets, spies and lies” while away from friends and family during the series, which was filmed in Buenos Aires.
In addition to cash prizes, the two winners will represent Australia internationally at The Challenge: Global Championship.
Jessica Power quit the show at the eleventh hour after producers told her her agreed fee would be cut due to budget cuts.

“Jessica was packed and ready to go, but 10 people called a last-minute meeting where she was told her salary would be cut in half,” an insider told Daily Mail Australia.
According to a well-placed source, Jessica had to pocket twice as much as her co-stars, who were each earning around $3,000 a week.
