BofA has named a new head of corporate investment banking in North America

(Reuters) – Bank of America Corp (NYSE: ) has appointed company insider Mike Joo as its new head of global corporate and investment banking (GCIB) in North America, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Monday.

This appointment will be in addition to Joo’s current role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GCIB and will report to its President Matthew Coderre.

He previously served as Chief Operating Officer for Global Markets, Head of Global Rates and Currency Solutions and Head of Asian Debt Capital Markets during his more than 15 years at the Wall Street bank.

Bank of America plans to announce a GCIB chief of staff in the coming weeks, according to the memo.
